After 32 years of service to the community, Downeast Ob/Gyn will be closing its doors on July 2, 2026. Until that time, we will continue to provide care for our patients at our office as we begin the process of transitioning to the next chapter.

Patients who would like their medical records transferred to another healthcare provider must complete a medical record release form, which is available at the link below. Please fax the completed form to: (207) 990-5997 or email it back to: info@downeastobgyn.com.

Following the closure of Downeast Ob/Gyn, Dr. Rumsey will be joining Women's Healthcare of Maine at Eastern Maine Medical Center and encourages his patients to continue their care with him at his new office. At this time, Jaime Williams, FNP-C, and Emily Skrok, FNP-C, are still determining their next steps for employment. They remain hopeful that they will be able to transition their patients into their future practices, and we will provide updates to their patients as more information becomes available.

It has been an honor to care for the women and families in this community. We appreciate your understanding and support during this transition.
